Pullout Test for Rock

The pull-out test is a relatively very simple and fast test. The equipment used for this test is a simple hollow hydraulic jack of requisite capacity. The hollow jack is lowered onto the anchor bar, grouted into place. A steel plate is welded or locked by mechanical means, on top of the anchor bar, just above the ram of the jack. For ascertaining the tensile load that shall be taken up by the Passive Steel Anchor, Pull out tests are conducted on the anchors.
